Stereo help!!
Let me know what you guys think of my set up.
I received my Pioneer avh-p7500 few days which will go on the bottom end of the double din slot so the flipped out monitor won't interfere with the air vents.
For navigation i have the Pioneer avic-80 dvd player which will go on the top part but this decision for placement is not final yet, i may place it below the front left passenger seat.
Would the following fit within an STi??
For the front sound and speakers, JL Audio 6.5" w/ tweeters and crossovers VR600-CFI components.
For the rear, JL Audio 5.25" TR 525-CXI coaxials.
For Sub, either JL Audio 10" CS110 subwoofer or the Infinity Basslink...which one??
to power up everything a JL Audio 500/5 Amp.
So any opinions with this set up? i'm not looking for competition level sounds but something that is noticeably better than stock with enough clarity and power. all suggestions welcomed!!
thanks, Ghost

I have a JL 10W6 in mine with Diamond Audio door speakers. For the fronts, you will have to use a spacer to get the woofers to clear the window. And for the rear, you may have to enlarge the opening to fit a 5.25" in the rear door.

That doesn't sound bad. DSMperformance is right about the front door speakers. You will need spacers and you may have to custom fab something for those spacers. Like get some spacers and bust out a dremel or something so that they'll work. That's what I had to do to make my Polk Audio momo composites fit up front. Also when you get the door panel off you'll see on the inside there is a perfect place to mount the crossover. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. the tweeters will fit perfectly. I don't think you'll have to cut anything out in the rear door but don't quote me on that. As for bass, I'd go with the JL. I'm not to big on anything Infinity makes in the form of a subwoofer. I like sticking to one brand anyways. But after you get all that DVD stuff in, let me know where you store your car
, I'm joking. Good luck, let me know how it sounds when you're done. I'm going with pole audio momo all around.
