This post is not a debate, I am just curious about your thoughts:
WIth the recent announcement is anyone thinking of holding off on the STi until the 9-2 is out?
I remember months ago a lot of people were happy with the "under the hood" components of the STi, but not happy with the body styling and especially the interior (like me).
So I ask this, if Saab comes out with a car that is SOMEWHAT close engine-wise and other specs (at least is HP, etc) but has Saab styling and finess, is anyone seriously considering the 9-2?

I would think the Saab 9-2 is still a couple years off. I also doubt it'll have hp numbers approaching the STi. It'll be a much more toned-down, "civilized" car with numbers and price similar to the WRX.
It'll be an interesting car, and much like what the WRX did for Subaru, it'll have people considering Saabs who otherwise would not have.

Isn't SAAB Swedish for crap? Oh wait, that's Volvo. I don't know much about Saab's. What are the predicted specs on the car? Is it going to be AWD for FWD crap like all Saabs?
