So, does this make you the VERY FIRST owner of a USDM STi ?

From what I've read elsewhere it looks like SoH (Subaru of Hawaii) had their STIs delivered directly from Japan and are not directly under the umbrella of SoA..
I guess what this means is that there must be hundreds of STIs shortly being unloaded at ports on the mainland that will then be distributed to the dealerships..
I guess the west coast dealers will also probably get them before the east coast..

metallic paint?
man, i was planning on getting silver/silver, but seeing that black almost makes me say "screw the fact that it always looks dirty and shows scratches"...pretty damn sexy, imho.
can someone please explain "Metallic Paint" to me? is there some difference that is either advantageous/disadventageous? thanks in advance!!!

Dang the 'silver' rims look to be , well _silver_.
I really wanted _Gunmetal_ aka dark silver.
I might have to change to gold as gold on silver looks good.
Folks keep talking about the black body though.
That just goes completely against my personal degree of common sense, but those dang pics do look nice withthe gold flecks..
Geez...when will they be in the _real_ United States?!
Hawaii ain't even a real state. Its one big vacation resort.
Heck, who's next...Puerto Rico and Guam!?
Argh!!!

I talked to Jeff because I was interested in purchasing one from him. He still has 2 left as of 12pm 4/26. Silver/Gold and White/Gold I think both selling for 33,313.30 OUT THE DOOR. that includes tax (HI), title, licensing. Shipping to the West Coast is $863 tax included from Matson Shipping. I just shipped a car from HI to WA last May that is how I know. However, I don't know the exact details but the second batch is going to be marked up so if you want this at MSRP, you have 2 chances left to get them. Because of that, I will likely not be purchasing one from them as the numbers would not longer be in my favor. If you are wondering about warranty, it will be covered by SOA no problem. However, extended warrantees will not be honored. Unfortunately, Schumann Carriage is not going to sell the car w/o being registered in HI for undisclosed reasons. That means that you will have to pay the $34,176.30 (tax, title, lic, shipping to west coast) and your local registration fees etc (again!). That is why this deal is not as appealing to people in the continental US.
