price on subaru sti
All this price talk around 32-35k MSRP well I want to tell you guy I work for the dealership this is how it works, most dealership will get around 8-15 sti the whole year most dealer will only get one STI a month depend on how big the dealership is some might get two, you guy know what MSRP stands for right manufactuer suggest (suggest) remember suggest retail price the dealership don't have to sell at that price (and most dealer won't if they tell you the will sell to you at MSRP they are lying all saleperson lie if it's not on paper don't believe it )it's all about demand on this car let's say the dealership only get 2 this month 20 people on the waitlist oh yeah right MSRP + tax no way don't even think about it many other people with more money are willing to pay over MSRP.. I can give you a example the HONDA s2000 and the honda oddessey, when first came out msrp 36,000 dealership only get 1-2 a month customer want to buy at msrp dealership ask for 40,000 and they were sold at 40,000 + tax and fee, and oddessey and one point was 2,500 over msrp. The price of the car is not determine by the saleperson and not by the maker of the car it's determine on how much you want to pay for this car..
so some of you might be looking at 40k+ out the door remember that tax and fee is 10 percent of the sale price even if dealer sell to you at 35K + fee you are looking at 39K out the door...

Hey, jackhole, for the record, you are pretty much right. There are those that would pay well over list for these cars. These are the same people that will be trading them in after 1-2 months. They don't care about your product, they just want a taste. If my dealer decides to charge over MSRP, I will gladly go somewhere else. If all subie dealers feel the same, I feel confident i could be happy with an S2000 or 350Z or an EVO. OR it could give me a great chance to just wait longer till the prices come down, save up a larger down payment, and give your finance guys less of my hard earned cash in the long run. Either way, If you think you will get more than MSRP out of me, or many other level headed well researched consumers, then **** off. If you would like not to gouge my pockets, then we will probably have a beautiful relationship beneficial to both of us. Sorry for the longwindedness.
