Do you feel WRX's have flooded the market? I think you might be right. last night my wife and I saw 5 in a row on Bay street at 1:00 am. They were heading south toward the lake were there are straight roads a mile long without traffic lights or stop signs... I wonder what they were going to do? ; )
There is not a single doubt that there will be dealers willing to screw you. But you don't have to bend over and let them poke you in the behind. The local Mitsu got four in their first allocation. They sold two immediately for presold orders. I was told that those went at the same as the other two that were sitting there the day I went. Those two had a 10K markup. When I asked about if they were willing to deal just for kicks and giggles. They just gave me the "hey this is the deal if you don't like it **** off" attitude. Guess what, a month later and they're still sitting.

Exactly... They are trying to sell you the car. And it's a competitive market. Even if you only want an STi you should always pretend that you want a Z, Lancer, or RX-8 just as much. If there are tons of STi's still sitting on lots all over the USA two months after the launch, then Subaru will no doubt be displeased. Despite the fact that dealerships are pretty much on their own for setting markup, giving the products parent company a bad reputation can get your into serious trouble.
My grandfather told me once that after he opened his dealership one of his competitors was still gouging customers despite the new competition. Unfortunitly for them, they only sold something like 5 cars in one month. He said the dealership lost it's license to sell the brand and manufacture support after 2 months. They went out of business not long after.

They want to charge everyone 5,000.00 over MSRP! and I'm the only one against it! Everyone else as I explained in earlier threads couldn't care less what it costs because they're so rich here. I'll have to see what happens.
