Picked up my new STI today.

After calling and emailing around the west and bay area for about a month, I finally bought my new STI today in my own backyard. Originally I was going to buy in Colorado for msrp, but in the last week I found some decent deals in the bay area. Green Valley was starting at msrp but only had a black one. After talking to Santa Cruz last week, they called back two days ago and said they had a silver one for msrp. I was planning to go there next week and pick it up. However, today I had to go to Reno Subaru to get a part for another car. This dealership has current markups of $9995 over. Last month a sales manager said he could "let one" go for $40k. Armed with other firm msrp deals I bought mine today for $1k under msrp. Now to put some miles on it.

Good on you bro. 40k for an STI at this point? What dealer was that? Reno Subaru eh? I'm going to send them an e-mail stating how warped their sense of reality is.

Well, I just got my White/Gold. Now we can both enjoy. I have to go through the break-in process as well, but that should go soon since I drove nearly 500 miles to get it in NJ.
