Owning a US Spec STi: Theft and Vandalism Concerns
Now that the US market is going to be able to buy these cars I wonder how theft rates and vandalism is gonna be?
I'm a current Integra GSR owner and rarely park my car on the street especially in NYC. I know lots of people with ITR's that have gotten stolen or vandalized.
I'm kinda afraid that when i get mine that I still will have to be very cautious as to where I park it.
Anyhows I plan to keep full coverage on the car to protect my investment.

This is really a concern with any nice car.
You can try to draw less attention to yourself by removing the wing and debadging it. ALso make sure you don't drive like an *** in the area where you park. When people see you tearing *** through a parking lot or down a street, then see your car parked there later, they are more likely to do something to it.

Theft and vandalism concerns IMO are a factor of where you frequent in most cases not all. Crime is everywhere obviously but if you park your car in well known bad areas.
Most of my travels for a daily driver are from home(garage) to work(garage) in a decent area so I am not as concerned. Besides it will be insured and is replaceable....no need to drive in fear.
If you have ever had a car stolen it is a real PIA...especially if they find it. Most STi's will be parts cars I am guessing or joy ridden by kids...so good security measures should alleviate the latter. For the first I read that there are small dots engraved on all the parts....to prevent the first.
