JDM nut,
I just started looking up the Altima you re so proud...All I could find for now is the 0-60 time and it is pitiful compared to the WRX...
WRX 5.55
Altima 6.25
Just found out the 1/4 mile times... from
http://www.car-videos.com/performanc....asp?dist=1320
Here goes,
WRX 14.34@93.79
Altima3.5SE 14.77@97.72
What this tells me is that, yeah the Altima is fast, but if you LOOK at the numbers...The WRX has it well beat in the traction dept.
I am a little interested in drag racing, but my main desire is to race on a track. I definately have the Altima beat in traction. Mine just has an CAI (bought it before I knew anything) and I will not even worry pulling up to the tree or getting the green flag against the Altima.
As far as the maxima...

Respectable hustle, yes. But it doesn't stand out from the herd as have previous Maximas because the herd has gotten quicker. The cheeky little Subaru Impreza WRX, for example, dashes to 60 in 5.4 seconds and to 100 mph in 15.5, and runs the quarter-mile in 14.1 seconds at 96 mph. The 260-hp Acura 3.2TL Type-S hits the 60- and 100-mph marks in 6.2 and 16.0 seconds, respectively, covers the quarter in 14.8 seconds at 96 mph, and stops from 70 mph in 186 feet — despite an automatic transmission. The rear-drive G35, another automatic, chalked up almost identical acceleration results and stopped from 70 mph in just 162 feet (C/D, May 2002)... 6.0 seconds to 60, 15.7 to 100, and 14.7 seconds at 97 mph over the quarter-mile, a sharp contrast to the last manual Maxima we tested in June 1999: 0 to 60 in 7.0, 19.5 to 100, and 15.6 seconds at 91 mph for the quarter.

...it don't matter how it feels, what matters is who is in front at the end...
The Accord Sedan weighs the same and I have ridden in one, not the 240hp but I can tell from what I felt, pathetic up against a WRX. It was a 1998(?) v6 auto...thats the only way you could get a v6 then...
Do I really need to find info on the Camry....Sure why not.

Come on, try again when you know what you are talking about...With these cars, either you got a problem with pushing (tight)n a turn or the back end coming out (loose) if you push too hard. The WRX wants to be pushed in turns to the point of no return. The cars you offered as a comparison are afraid of the chance for "spirited" driving. I can attest to the handling charecteristics of the WRX. When I hit that wet turn in NY during winter in one of your cars, either the rear end would of hit or I would of shoved the radiator into the engine.
They weigh the same if not more and cost more for the engines you are talking about.
In the dept. of "low end power" IT IS A TURBO!!!!! Thats what happens when you buy such a car. Give me the extra money left over from the difference of these cars compared to the WRX and I will have a car that will not be afraid of many new V8's.
There, this is my opinion, thanks for reading and "listening"!!!!

Well Subie friends and all that listened and heard me, thanks....

haha........I am tired of getting people all **** off. I like to focus on happy things. There is no point to argue anyway, everything is all relative. Just like what Silver arrow said: An Enzo owner think the STi is a slow POS, STi owner think the Boxster is slow, Accord V6 owner laugh at a Civic DX, and Bill Gate think all of us is poor
It is all what you are used to. I have driven a lot of different car as daily driver. After driven a 105 Crank HP pick up truck for a month, then switching to a 180 Crank HP Celica, the Celica feels like an exotic car. Then one day I got a ride in a 430 WHP 4WD car, then got another ride in a stock EVO VIII, the EVO feels like it is barely moving. I also drove a 360 WHP car daily for 6 months, then getting back into that same Celica, the Celica feels worst then that pick up truck. You get my point

JDM Nut,
The supposed smartest man in history invented the theory of 'Relativity'. But it was an old drunk bum from DC I once befriended who told me that the best "Super Power" to have is the ability to "forget".
He said remembering is what gets folks into trouble and causes pain. Forgetting is the thing everyone wants & needs but is hard to gain.
In your case its all about relativity and forgetting what you once possesed.

Car Info: dream car Subaru STi
betta recognize WRX!
its a great car and got wayyyyyy more potential than any 4 banger out there right now, probably the most potential out there, easily hitting high 13's with cheap bolt ons.
the stock turbo especially benefits gains in higher hp like a exhaust system upgrade would add another 10-20hp.
it might not be a 2.5, but in japan, 2.0's own.

You know what is sad, I can't even afford the front brake rotors and brake pads on the Enzo. The front rotor is $12,000 a piece and the brake pad is $3,000 for 1 side. So a total front brake rotors and pads are $30,000. Which lasted a owner 1200 miles. That is $25 per miles, on the brakes alone. Holy crap
Now that is high society, high roller motoring

You sure is right about we can only dream about the Enzo. If someone give me an Enzo for free, I can't even afford to drive it
I think the motor oil the Enzo uses is $60 per quart too
It void the warrenty if other oil is put in it
