Whoa......

Hey Beldrueger,

Get off your Lotus selling, STI down payment Horse. Oh excuse me, Lotus Exige Horse.

Why is this so hard to understand.
Nasioc is doing the same thing. Oh shiz, I just said Nabisco. Go start your own web site about STI's if you want. The Administrators of both sites have decided to keep the Imprezas together.

BTW: I am currently selling my WRX Wagon, and buying a STI next week.
I guess I will have to look through all of the posts, just like you.

Maybe I should have started a Wagon only forum when I had the chance

Wrong again,

the major forums don't discern between different models. And people with STIs (non USDM) have been posting in these forums for a long time with no problems. The STI isn't new. Just the USDM version. Making a new set of forums for each model isn't practical. And conversion posts benefit from specialists concerning different models.

I maybe a newbie but keeping the forums as one makes sense. STi owners and regular WRX owners have many of the same questions. The WRX has been mainstream in the US for a lot longer than the STi so many of the WRX tuners have tons of experience with a car that is essentially the same; hence, their knowledgable advice on one of your "STi specific" questions may end up solving your problem which probably wouldn't happen as much if you split the forums because each would stay to his own forum. IMO

true that. look at it this way. both the STi and the WRX have interchangeable parts. what's so different between the two? i mean, what other questions would you have about the STi that won't relate to the WRX, or vice-versa. for example, the turbo for the U.S. STi would be a direct bolt-on to the WRX, as well as the intake manifold, geez, the list goes on and on. hell, even the gauge cluster pretty much works fine in a WRX, so why separate the two when basically they are the same type of car in terms of parts and bolt-on's. so those that want a STi only forum and a WRX only forum, that would just be pointless and a waste of time. now, if you're talking about the lancer cedia and the lancer evolution, then you may have a point as those two cars are much more different than the WRX and the WRX STi. so what if mustang forums and integras and whatever else have their own forums, this is and always will be an IMPREZA forum or community which is what keeps us all together and sharing ideas. why don't we just make a modded WRX forum also, which would separate those that have fully stock WRX's and fully modded WRX's. do you see the point. the WRX and the WRX STi aren't that different.

clamdip, you understand me. Thank you.

Beldrueger, doesn't. He is lost.

I am envious of STi. Haha. I think I am. I don't think that my fully modded, 2.4L pumping, 9500RPM redlining, 6MT equipped, T67 turboed, full custom bodied WRX is nooooooo where near an STi.

Seriously though, I am not talking about which car is better.

I am talking about mechanical similarities and parts exchangability.

One more thing. There are not that many STi's to bigin with. Thats another very important factor.

wow, 2.4L, 9500RPM redline, 6MT, T67, damn that sounds like a beast of a car, . well, i guess it's nowhere like the STi.

You guys don't want to understand that there is a certain balance that exists here.

If I give you separate STi forums, it will make the non-sti owners unhappy. If I dont't the STi owners will be unhappy.

The key is to do something, and keep everyone happy.

I am open to suggestions.

There, I opened an STi only "Power" forum.
