First STI Encounter
Hey all STI fans... I am a VERY happy EVO owner. Love my car (5600 miles so far.. been great). But just wanted to give some words of praise. Saw my first STI Saturday morning. Pulled up at the gas pump next to me (76 in Daly City, CA). Gotta say, was pretty cool to have them both sitting there.... wish I had a camera.
Checked out the interior. NICE. Yes, there are things about the Evo I like better, but there also things about the STI I know I would like better... like those gauges. Sweet gauges guys! And the exterior.... far nicer than in photos. It was black... and you all just quit your *****ing. THe black doesn't look like "MUD" as I heard someone complain on this forum. It looks great. The car looked mean. Not a big fan of gold rims, but they looked good on it. Just a friggin badass car.
Overall, just wanted to tell you guys (who own them or who will own them soon) "NICE CAR". .I was impressed. Love my Evo and wouldn't trade it for anything (well, maybe a new C4S ?), but your STI's are pretty damn tight. Congratulations

I just had my first TRUE encounter. While I had seen both the Evo and the STI on the road, I now have seen them race. I was out at Portland International Raceway for late night drags and watched an Evo run as well as a STI. The STI (stock) pulled a faster time than the already modified EVO(the driver couldnt shift well). But both were beutiful, powerful cars and in my opinion should be racing in more than just a straight line.
