Has anyone else seen the May issue of SS Mag>? They show a few shots of the '04 STi interior and it's quite different looking (in a bad way) than the shots we're all used to seeing. The interior loses the blue theme and is all black, and the gauge cluster and steering wheel are different. I don't like the setup as much, personally. Anyone know if these are older pics that SS used?

I just received my Impreza brochure from SOA today. I think the interior you described is the WRX interior. I prefer the guage, shfiter, and steering wheel package from the STi, but i'd much rather have the WRX inetior. The seats look almost identical to the STi's, except they don't have that special middle cloth, and they're not blue. Call me old fashioned, but black seats are fine with me. The blue seats would look awesome with the blue exterior, but what about the other exterior colors? Seems to me that Subaru invested a little too much in blue Ecsaine cloth and decided to burden the rest of us with that color.

 

I agree, that was likely the WRX interior. I'll try to get my hands on the mag tonight.

 

They did the same thing in Sport Compact Car. The article was on the STi , but the interior shots were of the regular WRX.
