Consumer Reports 2003 Car Guide lists STi price as $29K
They do list the STi specs (even though they display the 03 model.) Their $29k figure is estimated, but it can't hurt to be optimistic. It is possible that this car may come in under 30k. CR sure seems to think it will.
Fingers crossed.

Now wouldn't that be nice.............
However, that's the ONLY price estimate I've seen or heard that falls below $30K; most appear to be falling in the $32k to $34,000 range for MSRP.
Given that the EVo VIII is $29.5k (with the big wing) there's no way the STi is gonna fall below $30k..........they'd be giving them away at that price.
We can all dream, but let's be realistic............
If it does come in under $30k, I owe you a beer (or two).
