Is anyone else.......

Is anyone else getting upset about Subaru's " lack of letting us know " how much and when the STi is going to come out.

Also I hear people have put $$$$ down on STi's and received a # on a waiting list already, yet the dealer (and the regional Rep.) I'm trying to get mine though says that Subaru will not let them take money for any STi's yet.

What the Hell is going on?????

I used to be a factory rep for Ford Motor Co. and I have to tell you that pricing was one of the last things to be decided on when a new product was launched. And on top of that it was one of the most secret bits of information even WITHIN the company. Only a handful of people actually knew what the pricing was before anyone else and that was even at the last minute. Sometimes market conditions are closely watched before finally deciding on pricing. The EVO and the state of the economy and the world are probably really complicating things for them to decide on where to price the car.

So when even a Subaru Rep doesn't know what the pricing is he probably doesn't. Nevermind the dealers not having a clue, unfortunately they're usually the last to know about anything.

Don't cha jus hate the suspense!

I've been lurking since NAIAS and cannot stand it anymore!
Reading all the posts about price gouging, deposit, no deposit.
Options, no options. Blue, black, white, Order, no order. Deliverly, no delivery, 4,000, 5,000.

And I know the Subie folks are gettin' a big kick out of this! As they sit back and plan the intro.
But I say it's time to break the silence!!!! Give up the price information. Turn the "rags" loose, what are the real specs. Will it really be "fun to drive". Will it be a "gotta have car"?

hey dan, if this is the dan i know... henry here from subaru, the reps do know what the STI is going to be priced at its just that they arent releasing the price as of yet. What rep are you talking to? And which dealership are you dealing with? I can understand your frustration... But cheer up i do know that we will be getting the five we orderd in June.

I also am ready right now...Id love to know if I should go buy an MSRP EVO, I need STi pricing...I have a deposit down right now on a white STi

whipsaw...... I'm not a salesman dumbass. And yes salesman can be a pain in the ****! Let's see hmmm.... I have 2 WRX's that were free to modify and race for subaru and i also help alot of people out when it comes to getting things for their Subaru's. Hmmm... who am i.....
