Allocations
Check out what was in the e-mail I got last night.

We got our STi allocation today: One car--and it's yours.
From what I understand, we are able to request a color for the car that was allocated to us. Per our previous email conversation, you wanted silver with gunmetal gray wheels, so that's how I asked my Subaru sales manager to configure the car. I also told him to ask to have the accessories you requested installed on the car; namely, the security-system upgrade, the wheelocks and the auto-dimming mirror/compass. I don't know if Subaru will accommodate that request, but I'll let you know as soon as I hear.

I'm so excited. Arrrrrg I can't stand it. I want it now. Give me, give me, and give me. Arrrrg. Whew, I think I'm ok now. Wow allocations are very thin. These guys are a small dealer but they do very well with WRX sales. He thought he would be getting two to three initially with one following every month. Now he thinks it will be more like one every month for the first few and then maybe one every other month until the next redesign. This will be a definite bummer for those far down on the list. I will be getting mine and I hope everybody gets theirs. Good luck to all. Does anyone have a pic of the gunmetal wheels?? I ordered white with gold. . .but white with gunmetal would look better..
That really sucks to hear about the allocation for dealerships, at least his theory. . . I'm #12 at a dealership. . . I think I should look else where see if I can find anything lower . . .slim chance though. . .

The literature says gunmetal but it's really more like silver. Take a look here:
