I dont think there will be a two door STI. Subaru hasnt made one in Japan since the 22B and here in the states since the old 2.5RS.
I think if they where going to continue with a coupe we would have already seen it by now especailly in Japan since they get all the good stuff but even the S202 was a four door. So I wouldn't hold my breathe for a coupe but then again you never know (B11 maybe).

But seriously designing and building a two door would have been too costly for Subaru. The sedan & wagon form factor is what the majority of buyers want and we get a super hot rod version of that chassis. Thats the way it is, the way its always been and will continue to be. Most folks wanted a wagon form but that too did not come to be.
But the folks at Porsche have some really nice coupes & convertible models for you to select from though they are slower (C2 & C4) and cost twice as much as an STi.
Take your pick...

Or if you want cheap two fun you can do what I did and buy an early s13 model 240sx and drop a nissan sr20det in it with some extra bolt-ons about $7000 max with the right connections and parts. Talk about fun to drive all you need is 300hp and some bigger brakes and that thing is a blast to autocross , drag , drift. Take your pick and it complments the STI nicely.
