#1 on dealer list STI msrp contract for sale
I have a written sales order for the #1 first to be delivered STI deposit from a Subaru dealership in Westchester, NY - the contract is for the 1st STI comming to the dealership and they tell me it was the first order placed with thier distributor - - the contract is FIRM MSRP with no dealer ad ons in writing
I am going to pass on the STI for now - I am just having way too much fun with my EVO - AND - to be honest the forester turbo I saw today at the NY auto show is catching my eye as my 2nd car - (I have a child to lug about on the weekends)
The deposit was only $500.00 down - - I'll sell it for the original $500.00 back and a nominal $500.00 profit - you meet me at the dealer and pay me a total of $1,000.00 and you'll get a written signed sale's order from the dealer confirming your # 1 on the list position

Wait till you see what goes down the first week or two when this car comes out - its going to make the EVO gouging look like puppy play - - - a lot of dealers are going to be $2,500.00 and more above msrp for the first few cars so this is a bragain to get one of the first on the east coast

You remind me of that dealer who had the nerve to post in the general section of this messageboard. He thought he was giving us a good deal by charging ONLY a FEW thousand over MSRP. I guess he thought his IQ was higher than the rest of us here. Man was he wrong!
I suppose it takes all kinds to make this world interesting.

Half of the reason for comming to these forums is to NOT get screwed. Why should anyone pay you $500, when your dealer will seel it to them for MSRP anyway? You drop off the list and everyone else moves up a notch, and a new peson goes on, sounds like it would work. I'm guessing the dealer will manage to sell that car without you help.

If you guys don't want to be in the # 1 spot - then don't be ; after all the thousands spent on WRX mods over the past two years $500.00 is nothing - - I would have gladly paid $500.00 to get a written msrp sale's order for the 1st EVO
To each his own !!
Someone out there will be happy to get this car for $500.00 over msrp
