cars are hot in miami, especially little fast ones. most carry an "ADM" (additional dealer markup) item on the window sticker. at the local dealer, the ADM on regular subarus is $1995. without a published MSRP, it is difficult to negotiate for an STi. i was told the very highest asking price subaru of america would allow for an STi that is pre-ordered was $34,900. for cars bought out of dealer inventory, a substantial ADM would be tacked on.

dont anybody expect to get this car out the door for 31k. My evo, with all options - delivery came out to like 30, 600, which is less than the sti, w/ no options. even if you get it bare, expect to pay mid 32k out the door, just as i went just above 32k out the door, (no markups).
pray that they dont decide to charge you for a big wing, or other "staple" items.
btw, I saw an sti driving around last week. it looks great, except for that hood scoop, which looks more like an a/c duct for a large building. should be great when both cars are out on the road.

I got my EVO for $29968, but if the STi is going to be only a few hundred dollars more, I'll be wishing that maybe I waited for the STi
I love the EVO and anybody that puts it down, is either not familiar with the car or just has a bad case of red ***, but the STi sure has more power and the DCCD, etc. It sure will be a better buy than the EVO if it comes in at only $900 more......
Oh well, I guess I could always buy myself an STi too....
