haha thats funny i just bought the 12" package today. i listened to the 10s in the store and they actually sounded better than i thought they would. they are pretty clean but not too boomy. im sure the 12s hit harder and deeper but i havent iinstalled them yet. oh and dont get it installed at bestbuy they charge a lot it was gonna be like 240 for instalation and parts plus the 180 for the package so find a friend that knows how to do it or read up.

I kept the stock HU, added a 5 channel amp and 12" sub. It sounds very respectable, even with the stock door speakers and I'm only running the front's not (too lazy to hook up the rears). I'm gonna do new door speakers but that's $600 down the road (1 pair of speakers (bridged) and lots of sound deadening).

Herger, did u have to get some kind of converters to hook up the amp to the stock HU? where did u get them and how much? did u do the install and how hard was it?
