sub woofer hook up to alpine cva 1005

I have an alpine cva-1005 head unit and the nav brain with all my audio outs. I just hooked up my fosgate sub and amp but im not getting a signal from the audio output from the "brain" its hooked upto the sub woofer out. i dont know if there is anything special i need to do in order to get a signal out of the brain/amp for the cva 1005. really hope you can help. thanks

you must turn the output on by getting into initialization and you must have the e brake and foot brake hooked up once you get rid of the no video screen find initialization and search through your options
