stock speakers
I went down to the local hardware store and picked up some nylon washers of different sizes. I ended up using some that were about half an inch in height. To fill the gap I cut up some XTC foam baffles which also helps keep the water from going directly onto the speaker.
This was in my 04 TS wagon. Not sure if the RS/WRX has the same depth in the doors.
Quick note.... the front door panels leave quite a bit of room before your tweater will hit the panel. The back ones are a tight fit to the door panel. This is of course if you are using non-component speakers.
