Stock stereo CD player stopped working, radio/tape still work. Removed unit to look for a way to remove CD's, I have 6 loaded in it. Can't find any way to get them out, plugged unit back in but CD player does nothing. I have the unit removed right now (why carry the weight if it does not work) but I do want my discs back. Any advice? What am I missing?

 

The discs may have shifted out of place, especially if you removed the unit from the dash. You have to open it up to move them back into place so they can be ejected.

 

Thanks, actually I've had the unit in and out several times before it stopped working, I assume it won't be to difficult to open up. The only part I have ever opened was to chang the stock bulb covers.

 

Remove the screws on the sides [one on each side] at the back top corners.
Lift the lid from the back and you're in.
