Sti Antenna Problem

Just one quick dumb question, but has anyone else had problems getting good reception once they installed a stereo in the STi? I had a head unit and speakers put into my STi. They claim that there was an antenna plug and they plugged it into the head unit. However, the antenna in the rear window seems to be seriously lacking since I can't seem to get any radio stations with it. I was thinking of just getting a new antenna all together.

I think your antenna is powered, there is a wire that goes from it to the remote wire on the head unit. Take it back and make the shop do it.

yeah there is a power lead that needs to be hooked up to the power remote wire.

Car Info: 2004 Subaru STI/WRX Silver of course

It is the white wire on the harness side of the car it is in a corner both are correct need to hook power antenna from HU to it I had the same problem after taking out HUwire had come out a little plugged it back in worked fine.
