speakers and speaker sizes
im looking to get some speakers for my sti and i've been reading about how people are going 6.5 in the fron and 5.25 in the back... im hoping these will fit...anyway waht do you guys think of the infinity KAPPA 52.5I and the KAPPA 62.5I? good speakers or waht? and for the HU i've been looking into sony or alpine...to be exact...the Alpine CDA-9807 or Sony CDX-MP40. any suggestions? I just picked up my stereo equipment yesterday. Took me a while to finally decide. I've heard that infinity KAPPAs are good but never used them before. A lot of people here are running Nakamichi. I chose to go with Rainbow 6.5 components. If you can afford it...i'd really recommend them.
About the HU...i'd take the alpine over the sony any day. I went with a simple Kenwood unit that matched the siver dash in the STI. Not too fancy but sound quality was good.
Running an arc audio 4 channel amp...gonna power the front components and bridge the rear channels to a 10" JLW6. Haven't picked up any rear speakers yet but probablly 4" Nakamichis to run off the HU simply for rear fill if I do it.
Best bet is to go to a local shop and check out the speakers for yourself. Easier to decide when you can actually hear them. Thats what made me choose what I did.
Hope that helped a bit.
