hey i posted in another forum, but the answer is still the same, take the moldings off you doors, and take that plastic sheeting off, then duct tape all the wiring down, and the conecters, it is realy cheap and makes the doors sound much more solid, it also helps when you put speakers in the doors, that you mount some of that sticky one sided foam between the door and the cage around the speaker.

Umm... isn't that why you get the STi? That whooosh and boxer sound is what makes your car so great!

Gixxer,

Your tires could be a main contributor to road noise. Is your STi wearing the stock tires? If so, ask a few other STi owners what they think about noise from their tires.

Good Luck

I just did my doors and the rear deck (it rattles from the subs) and so far I like it. It's not really alot "quieter" but more subtle and less harsh sounding. I really didn't want to add more because the stuff is pretty heavy.

I put Ramat in all 4 doors of my STi 2 nights ago... took about 2 hours all told to do the outer skins. The doors are definately much more solid and the oad noise is a little less. I'm looking forward to doing the floors.

In addition, I was helping MoDrift install speakers into his STi last Monday and he put the Ramat on both inner and outer skins... big difference in sound. We took a few pictures so hopefully he'll post up a finished write up of the project.

by inner skin and outer skin of the doors what exactly do you mean, do you mean outside of the window, on the outside metal (inside of outside metal that is)? If so, how do you reach it
