A: my head unit >Alpine Phanthom Face
B: my amp >Rockford Fosgate 500 2 channel amp
ok assuming everyone knows how to fish wires through the firewall you can mount the amp where you choose. I mounted mine under the drivers seat. Its a great spot considering this..... more space in the trunk, less visable wires, less wires running to the trunk, stays cooler in the summer, and hidden :whisper: The positive goes to the postive terminal of the battery (red), and the negative (blk) i bolted to the seat. Once you have removed the seat on the bottom of the right rail you will see a 12mm nut, unscrew that nut and run your negative from there ( LISTEN! you will not get ground signal untill you mount the seat back on the cars frame cause the bolts will complete the ground once fastend in place). Now that the amp is in place I'll show you what I did with the bass controller.
Step1> This is the bass remote notice its size and bulk I want it to be neat so I took out the dummy knock off piece from the center console
Step2> I disasembled the bass remote stripping it down to the electronics only
Step3> I than cut off these tabs with a razor
Step3a> so now it looks like this
Step4> now I trimmed the sides of the circuit board to narrow it down a bit and drilled a hole. (WARNING!carefull not to trim the circuit boards conductors, the little copper lines running from one component to the other)
Step5> now assemble the two pieces and tighten the bolt on the controller
Step6> add the ****
Step7> finshed product, :tinker: looks better than mounting that big box on your dash imho

How did you mount your amp under the driver's seat? I'm looking at doing the same thing, however I have to deal with salt in Wisconsin winters and I would prefer to not drill holes into my floor pan. I was thinking of rigging some sort of a metal bracket, like they use for the under seat sub Subaru offers. Just looking for pointers and curious to see how other people are doing this. I do like your bass remote idea. I think I'll have to do that too.

i just used self tapping screws that are about 3/4, and i only used 2, because you will notice that the bottom of the floor isnt completely flat so its tough getting some screws to reach the metal. I mean you can use a longer screw, but why bother 2-3 are enough. Another way to mount it would be to fasten the amp to the floor liner with either nylon ties or rivits with big washers on the bottom of the floor liner. let me know how it works out.
