Relocate security box?

I really, really hate how the box for the factory WRX alarm is right under the emergency brake (you can actually see it from outside the car, with the brake on). Has anyone tried relocating this to another part of the car, so it isn't so vulnerable? I wish the damn thing didn't say SECURITY right on it (I covered it with electrical tape temporarily). Where can I put it?

As for it saying "security", I don't think its giving away any secrets to a thief, heh. Just, uh, think about that one for a while... pretend yer a thief

Yes you can relocate it. But don't rely on your factory alarm. Kill switch both the ignition and the fuel and do it yourself, all custom so that its unique. Alarms are just noise makers... which are usually ignored and easily disabled.

I'm not trying to fool the "pro" car thieves; obviously there is little that you can do to stop a determined pro, besides the fuel cut you mentioned. I'm looking for ways to deter the n00b/casual thief who might just smash a window and try to get my radio and CDs. Even a total nimrod could look at the car right now and figure out that they can break a window, dive in and pull off that center console in about five seconds.

I know I CAN relocate the box, I was looking for suggestions WHERE I could put it!
