Rear speaker install help with IA spacers

I have the IA performance speaker spacers to fit 5.25 inch speakers in the rear door. I'm tring to put in Diamond audio D3 Coaxial speakers. When i put them in the door hits the tweeter since they stick out a little. I've tried various ways to get it to fit are there any tricks that I'm not seeing.
Also with the set of speaker spacers there are 6 long black pins and 4 short white pins I assume the 6 black go in front and the 4 short ones go to the rear. Is this correct? I lost my instructions.

thanks

travis

To my understanding the black pins are to space out the door panel for your exact problem, but I might be wrong, and the white ones are replacments incase you break/lose your stock ones.
