rear door speaker cut out

Looks like I am going to try and put in speakers that require a 5" cut out in the back doors, open the existing hole around .4". Anybody know of any structural, mechanical reason (or other) this is not a good idea (other than the PITA factor)?

Plan on using a sawsall - better ideas?

Thank you.

Go for it. I did the same thing only I used a dremel. You have a little more control that way. Just make sure to seal up the surface with something so you don't have any exposed bare metal.

Dremel

Dremel with an abrasive disk for cutting? I have a small dremel rotory tool, did not know the disks could take on sheet steel. Was also thinking a jig saw with metal blade may give more control (and be less overkill) than a 14 amp sawsall.

Thanks for the idea Bill.

Speakers in the mail - cutting (& sound deadening) to comence shortly.
