oem subwoofer help

ok...im not an idiot...but i bought a used wrx car with the oem subwoofer...
tried to install it today, and it seemed incredibly simple...only...it didnt turn on...

i plugged the harness in, and routed it through the center console, and grounded it to the radio's shielding as per subaru's pictoral instructions. pretty sure I got everything, but I get no bass from the sub. everything else is operational though...

so is there anything i could have missed? maybe the sub's just broken?

btw, the gains and crossover are at the middle settings.

bump, any ideas? just checked the connections behind the radio today...seems good to me

If you are running an OEM head unit, make sure the faders and balance settings are in the center.

Same Problem

I have an 02 WRX and the factory sub installed at the factory isn't working. I don't think it has ever worked. I only noticed it when I was vacuming under the seat with the tunes blasting. I put my hand on the unit and nothing. I checked the voltage with a muti meter...I'm getting 12v from the power supply and 6volts to each of the speaker line inputs. It's like the amp isn't turning on internally.

Anyone have any ideas???
