I found an OEM replacement trim for the stock dash clock trim that lets you put in a 1 DIN Stereo Headunit in place of the clock.

Now for the life of me, I cannot find it again. I thought I bookmarked the page, but apparently I did not. Has anyone seen this, or know where I can find it.

just search OEM gauge pod, subaru makes it it's the same thing you describe. Most on line OEM places sell them.
