Hello all!

I'm interested an stereo upgrade for my 2005 STi. I first learned of the Kenwood DDX7015 (1st picture). Which through the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) I could aquire at $899, not a bad price. After further research, I learned of Eclipse's new AVN5435 (2nd Picture). From what I gather, Eclipse is a top notch company that makes top-of-the-line products (let me know if I am off base). It is further apparent by looking at the price which seems to range from $1799 to over $2000. However I am finding it difficult to find a trustworth/dependable source that sells this. I did manage to find one on e-bay (Item number: 7966386127).

Does anyone have any experience with this company, Eclipse? And does anyone know where I could purchase one if I deceide to choose them?

Eclipse is manufactured by Fujitsu.
I've heard nothing but rave from those whom have owned their Eclipse product.


If trustworthy/dependable is what you're looking for, stay away from e-bay.
Nearly none of the sellers are authorised dealers/retailers. You may check with the manufacturers and they'll tell you just that.

Eclipse are some of the best headunits available at any price. I have been selling them for over 10 years now and can't say much bad about them. Infact I own 4 Eclipse radios and am probably going to do the Navi unit when my tax money comes back. Anyway, stay away from Ebay if you want any support from Eclipse. They are very strict about who by and where there products are sold so by from an authorized dealer so you get the three year parts and labor and the one year theft warranty. Great Navi too, easy to use. It uses the same software that Lexus uses in its factory Navi that won JD Powers awards last year for ease of use.
