Alright, audioheads... A little help for this music nut.
I'm looking to purchase speakers for my suby..
without a owner's manual, how do i determine the size of speakers i have?
1990 Subaru Legacy LS sedan
... also, which speakers should be considered for some serious POWERFUL sound with little distortion, 'cause I play my music a lot about 10.
Thanks, guys.

i enjoy the sounds of my MB Quart components powered by a 600*4 Earthquake amp. Most Subaru's take a 6.5 all around (save the new impreza which takes a 4 or a 5.25). if you want optimum sound out of door speakers, get ones that you can put an amp to for clean highs and solid mids. MB's are up there in price, so if you don't want to spend a whole bunch of money, alpine makes decent speakers, as does JL. Also, the head unit is key. You want one that has good rca outputs for your amps (btw. 4 and 5 volts) and has good FM reception. Also look for a HU that has a crossover. Pioneer has nice ones, Alpine makes awesome HU's, and Panasonic makes decent ones.
