Location of security system in 02 wrx

Hey guys i need to find the location for the security system in a wrx, my friend kev helped me install my turbo timer yesturday except he has an 03 and the security system mudule is in a different place in my 02, so it won't let me lock the doors without cutting this special wire on the security system so if you know where it is please reply

The module is under the center console, next to the parking brake.

Thats what i said to, b/c i saw it before he closed everything back up but he said it can't be that thing because its a huge box. his is under the steering colum i think he said.
hmmmm this is very confusing.

Trust me, that is where it is. The security module itself is not that large.
The keyless entry module, with which it integrates, is located elsewhere. That may be what he is thinking of.
Of course all this assumes that you have the OEM security system (with the security upgrade and not just the keyless entry) and not an aftermarket system.

ok i think its the thing you mentioned in the last post but this is what i need
which wire i need to cut on the security module to allow me to lock my doors while the car is still running?
this is in use with a turbo timer that is why i need to know so if you have done it on an 02 please reply

I have not personally installed a turbo timer since I don't believe they are necessary. However you should find the info you need here-
