if you listen to trance, you will probably want 2 10s in a SEALED box. they will hit way faster and will be deeper than just one 12. the more wattage they take rms, the better, as long as you have an amp that at least matches the RMS OUTPUT, not max.

editne 12 will be slower than a 10. a sealed box will be quiter than a ported box, and a bandpass will be louder than both of those. but as the boxes get louder, they lose sound quality. i also suggest making your own box, buy the subs then on the packaging there is info on dimensions of the box, make the largest one possible for the loudest sound, but remember, the louder you go, the worse the quality and the slower the subs will hit.

yea stick with a good ten inch. power if with a good monoblock amp and i suggest changing the speakrs since they do make a hell of a difference and the Hu also makes a bit of a difference not much tho. u probably can get all that **** for like 900 max.. depends on what brnad you buy.

one good quality ten in a sealed box will do the trick. thats what i am using and i listen to trance also. i would get rid of the stock deck and get some good door speakers to go with the sub.

also the adire shivas mark lll which cost $125. But you will need a big box for this though.

If you are going to use an amp and an EQ then the stock HU is fine, I am using mine, and I have 800 watt chrome Rockford amp, one boston Pro12 (2ohm) in a custom fiberglass box. And a sony amp qith a build in EQ for the mids and highs I haven't changed the rear speakers cuz I never ride back there. In the front I have some rockford, which are going to get changed out with some 6.5 bostons. If you have the money, which with $900 you could, I would say get a custom box made, no matter what sub you pick, it will sound best in a custom box.
