how deep can the front speakers get?

how deep can the front speakers get?
looking into upgrading the sound system but i heard the front speakers and door are very shallow...how deep can you go? was looking into mb quart rsc 213 or rsc 216

i don't know of any aftermarket speaker that will fit in the front doors with out an adapter. 1/2"-3/4" spacer depending upon how deep the speaker is.

East Coast WRX is also making spaces. for $33 shipped you can get spacers for the front and the rear. here's a link to the thread

is east coast wrx's speaker spacers come painted as well? i thought i heard he wasnt painting them. i thought i had the only painted spacers for sale, maybe i heard wrong. can anyone verify that question for me???
