how deep can the front speakers get?

looking into upgrading the sound system but i heard the front speakers and door are very shallow...how deep can you go? was looking into mb quart rsc 213 or rsc 216

those quarts will fit with an adapter plate

i don't know of any aftermarket speaker that will fit in the front doors with out an adapter. 1/2"-3/4" spacer depending upon how deep the speaker is.
edit: audiforlife2001@yahoo.com this guy makes for like $20

East Coast WRX is also making spaces. for $33 shipped you can get spacers for the front and the rear. here's a link to the thread

i decided to get boston pros instead. =D they have a smaller mounting depth so i think itll be fine w/ those spacers too =)

will you need spacers for the speakers crutchfield shows when you put in wrx for vehicle specific purposes?
