Need Some Helppppppp Please!!!!
OK, just to let you know what going in my Sti 04 is USAmp MD2 1500Watts for woofer , Cliffdesigns 1400watt For door speakers, Rainbows CS 265 Profi Phase Plug for Front and Rainbow CS 230 Profi for rears , 1* Eclipse SW9122 TI 1500watt ~ 750 rms. Ok what my Problem is that I stopped at like 3 places and got prices for install 1 was like $900 other was about $1000 and the last place was about $2060.
What I didn't understand is the last place I went to He told me that he done these befor and that I would have to run 2 batts one under hood and a gell cell in the trunk and a 5ferrit cap. Becasue he said that last guy that was there that did a install it keep shutting down becasue the car did not have anuff out put for amp to run right. Has anyone had this happen befor or is there otherway to take care of this Problem or is this guy just bunch of **** trying to make some money!! No other place said I need all this Extra. And sorry if the gammer is off I suck a it lol!

I am running about 1600W RMS and I have no problems at all with stock battery and alternator. You definately do not need a 5 farad cap. The debate on capacitors is long and drawn out but what I chose to do is run a 1 farad cap between each of my amps and power distribution block. bat->block->cap->amp. My system sounds great and the needle on my voltage gauge hasn't even wobbled
FYI you will get lots of noise from every speaker if your alternator is struggling to power your system. Its a similar sound to a blown preamp in a deck.

^ all good advice above. unless you want to play it long and loud with the engine turned off, there is no need for another battery. I would definately say that you should at the very least upgrade your "big 3" wiring to support the draw, and probably go to a high output alternator as well. (You can run your stock alternator for a while, but it will eventually burn out)
sounds like you will have a nice setup when all is said and done!
why might I ask have you decided not to attempt an install yourself?
Planning on sound dampening? (I'm sure you must be, if you are considering such high end equipment)
