Harman Kardon Audio
Does anyone have any experience with Harman Kardon audio equipment? Supposedly, this is top of the line stuff. Through my place of employment, I have the opportunity to purchase their products at a huge discount, and my STi is still currently radioless. However, they have a very small selection of car audio equipment. This is their only head unit:

It's a navigational unit that lists as 999.00. With my discount, I'd get it for 624.00. Is it worth it? I had been planning on the Alpine 9813 with JBL speakers before this idea came to my mind.

i know that some of their products are avaliable on BMW's as an upgrade. they sound pretty good but i dont know how good their non BMW head units are. i would go w/ an Eclipse head unit. they are really clean.

The picture that you showed as a Harmon Kardon radio is a Becker manufactured radio. Becker was b(r)ought in to the Harmon Kardon group.
Their home page is "http://www.becker.de" and they are the producers of the very first car radio, more than 50 yrs ago !!
Their radios/nav.system has won international prices for yrs in a row, and is standard equipment for Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari and they also make the radios for Mercedes....
The cd radio that I have is their Grand-Prix modell that I brought over from Europe. I think the very best quality and layout of ANY carradio on the market is represented by this company ; big multifunctional ***** understated design.
If you are looking for the cd/radio/nav system I can only say GO FOR IT you WILL not be dissappointed !
Just incase you would be looking for a way to connect you I-pod, "http://icelink.densionusa.com" is coming out with a direct plug in, controlable from your main headunit, imagen that .....top of the line headunit, satnav, and 7000 songs under your command.
Anyway just look at some of the links and it will all get very clear, please post some pics on whatever you decide on and if possible hook me up when I'm looking to change from cd/radio to their nav system... :-)
best, Herman
