Got a Kicker CVR. What AMP?
Okay, I'm new to the stereo stuff. I got a decent woofer (Kicker 03VCVR10-2 10" w/ comp enclosure) and now need an AMP for it. Peak is 600W, rms is 300W, and I think it's at 4 ohm. I do have a Pioneer Premier AMP that can bridge to 225W, but I'm not sure on the ohms. (What happens if I under power the woofer?)
Suggestions and ideas for a good AMP. I really don't want to spend more than a couple hundred (preferably cheaper).

I think thats the dual 2 ohm sub so you can wire it to 4 ohms to work with your pioneer for now. ALthough typicly those that underpower a sub and push on it will kill the sub in no time with distortion.
SInce you will have a 4 ohm load, the best thing to do is get a 2 channel and bridge it like your pioneer or a kicker KX300.2 or a JL monoblock amp.

Alot of the 2 channel amps are stable at 1 ohm, which real doesn't help you that much.
I would try to get a mono amp like a
Kenwood KAC-8151D (400W rms @ 2 ohms) under $300
Mtx 421D (420W rms @ 2 ohms) under $300
Sony Xm-d400p (400w @ 2 ohms) under $300
Rockford Fosgate Punch 500s
I'm sure there are more, shop around.
