Subs?
I have a Rockford Fosgate 1200watt Punch amp and running to 10" Jensen Subs(was only $40 w/bandpass box) but it sounds like crap. Can anyone recommend what kind of subs would go well with my amp? Preferably ones that would sound nice in a bandpass box. (Budget is under $500)

There's alot of choice's you can go with. If your running Bandpass it sounds like you just want to be loud, bandpass is not the clearest sounding even with good subs. Check out
JL Audio
Rockford Fosgate
Kicker
Orion
Infinity
Polk
Kenwood
Alpine
And there are even more. Go over to the local stereo shop and see what they ahve and listen to them and you will get a better idea of what you want and what some prices are.

Sealed boxes give the best sound IMHO. Ported boxes give boomier bass but don't need as much power. Bandpass boxes tend to give the loosest boomiest bass but don't need much power.
Alot of it depends on the type of music you listen to though. I listen to alot of classic rock, so a sealed box is best while a ported box is a close second(alot of the recordings I have are lacking in the low end so a ported box helps accentuate those frequencies a bit better with a given power level)l. A bandpass box sounds like absolute garbage for the music I listen to though.

I have 2 12" Infinity kappa perfect subs that I am selling. They are in a sealed box, they sounded really nice in my 02 wrx. I am selling them for 210+shipping if your interested. They have something like a 350watt rms but a 1400watt max so I think that your amp would power them really well. Let me know if your interested

Definately a Kicker L7. I have a 12" in my trunk and it hits! I am getting a bandpass box for it also. They are awesome and can have as much or as little air space. If you can spend the extra bucks definately go with the L7!

RMS or Peak on the power rating of the amp? Either way I would look at elemental design subs they are great and very reasonably priced. http://www.edesignaudio.com/
As for the box I would definately reccomend loosing the bandpass and going sealed, it will take up much less space and sound alot better.
