Focals are good, i would say right up there with the diamond audios, in my last car i went with the diamonds over focals and was not dissapointed. I have upgraded the speakers in my doors with JL XR's but had to make a custom mount and cover due to limited space, there was no other way to get them to fit unfortunately. Good luck!

It will be hard to fit the utopias in but i have seen people use cdt's and their 3" deep too like the utopias. I have the 165v2 with 2.75" mounting depth and used 3/4" spacer plus the thickness of the dynamat, it barely fit. I think you will have to adjust the window spacers to fit 3" deep speakers. Try searching in nasioc too.

I have focal utopia 3 ways in the front (165w3) and the 2 ways (165w) in the rear. i had to use a spacer for the front doors, and the spkrs tap the door panel under high excursion. the window jus barly clears the magnet, but it does
I found the same problem with the 165 kevlars. What's the point of placing a 1000 dollar set of Utopias and not be able to mash on them like they were ment to be. With that, I'd go with the polyglass v2slims. Those will fit for sure. And they sound great. Plus the left over money can buy a Focal Kevlar sub and a nice set of rear speakers to boot. Utopias are and awsome set of speakers. I sell them, but for that amount of money, you can purchase damn near half of a system. I.e. a nice woofer, amp, and second set of rear fill speakers. My two cents worth.
