dont forget to angle up and point so the two side, if you mount a laser on it, will meet at the roof by the interior light...

my friend has the laser tool that is used for adjusting speakers to get proper imaging to get the right sound. we are throwing ideas back and forth about the tweeter placement. stock, lower door, sail panel....
we just finished a door on an RX-8 and it looks freakin awsome. i'll snap a pic next time it comes into the shop. it only has the mid bass in the door but it looks so clean.

sorry, i say "our" all the time b/c im there all the time. my brother manages Motor Music in Daly City on Misson St. I have my regular job but when i'm not doing that i'm at the shop learning how to make stuff and helping on installs.

Next up on the list is a floating amp rack, screen in the double dinn and head unit in the ashtray, door panels, suede interior bits... etc.. ive started on alot of things but the sub box is the frist thing to be finished.
i just want to end up with a clean and classy car. nothing crazy.

I know that shop, I live on the other side of the bay bridge.

Man that's sweet! I wish I had a place like that to learn all that stuff. You do most of your work after hours?

now i have to. some nights im there untill 2 am shooting the ish with the guys.
i've been working on my car during store hours when it would get a little slow or between jobs but the owner came in and didnt like it. he doesn't mind but wanted me to pay for some supplies that i supposedly used (i bought my own stuff) and the advice of the custom fabricator. no worries, gave him a bill and he was happy.

started the door panels yesterday

they are not imaged perfectly but really close. i would have to give them a more extreme angle to get them right.
i decided to keep the tweeters in the stock location to keep it cleaner.

I was wondering that myself...

What's the size of the speakers you're putting in here?

no tweeter pods for now. i didn't like the way they looke on the door. tweeter pods look alot better in kick panels but im not a huge fan of them. if i make something for the pods it'll be on the sail panel.
