Amp installation

I'm trying to install an amp in my 02' impreza RS. Im having difficulty running the power cable through the firewall. Does anybody have any helpful advice they can share?

on the driver's side, underneath the dash and on the firewall, there should be a rubber plug or grommit approx an inch in diameter . this has been the popular spot to run power wire through. hollar if you can't find it
