2004 Outback sport / WRX (headunit question)

I am going to be replacing the factory head unit and for some reason Crutchfield doesnt list my car "2004 Outback Sport" for an install kit..

I assume being of the same platform that the WRX's install kit should work..

When i say install kit i am talking about the mount , not the wiring,, but hopefully that will be the same also..

Am i dumb for assuming this.?

Anyone?

Also if anyone has any info as how to take the dash apart (around headunit) please let me know so i dont break anything.

wiring and mounting are the same, but no dash kit is needed. You use the existing DIN bracket. Crutchfield probably doesn't have dash disassembly instructions for the car either but it's really easy, I did mine with some instructions from here and it was wicked simple.

I concur, these forums are great. when even the mighty crutchfield couldn't help me figure out how to disassemble my dash and door panels, BAM the forums had my answer in like 30 seconds. God Bless the internet
