There are only two solutions- remove the tint and either leave it off or replace it with nonmetallic tint, or install an external antenna.

yo

if you have an aftermarket radio in there the power antenna wire is probably not hooked up. and you shouldn't have a problem because the tint should be on the inside of the car not the outside which means it still gets the frequencies. know what i mean.

Not true, the antenna is also on the inside surface of the glass. Reception problems after installing tint are a well-documented issue.
It is correct that not hooking up the power wire for the antenna amplifier when installing an aftermarket radio will also affect reception. However in this case the problem started after tinting and he doesn't mention anything about installing a radio.

ya i havent put in an aftermarket radio, completely stock. i had someone take a look at the problem and he basically said my options are removing the tint, changing the tint to a ceramic one, or put on an exterior antenna (wont be doing this one). i hate that subaru puts the antenna in the windshield since putting on good (metallic) tints messes ur reception. i may just put out the cash and get satellite radio and then i wont need regular fm.

antenna

i have 3m tint that i got put on mine and haven't had any problems. if you get sat radio and you don't want to put the antenna on the outside it work really good in the car on the back rear dect next to the thrid break light, that's what i did with the gps and sat.

you should check to make sure when they cut the tint they didn't razerblade through your antenna on the outside edge .
