06 head/sub in 05

So I bought a head unit from an 06 STi and the OEM under seat sub.. Does any one have any advice on how to make the 06 head fit securely?

And any advice on the wiring for the sub to the head?

Thanks.

Got the head to fit. Anyone have a wiring diagram for the sub?

What do you mean diagram? There is a harness that goes with those subs. If you don't have the harness, I think the easiest way to hook it up is going to be to get the harness. I just picked up one of these too and I already had a STI head unit.

06 STi head unit in an 05 rs.. I have the wiring harness for the sub but the wires are cut. Just rewire and splice into the head harness?

Don't know much about audio, sorry.

Probably gonna have to talk to Subaru about that. It just unplugs, not sure why anyone would cut it. What I was getting at is, I think you can buy another harness to just plug it in too. Might cost you, but will be much easier in the end. I don't have the diagram, but I can at least take pics of my connectors so you know what goes where, but there are a LOT of wires, which is why wiring it up by hand would be a pain in the ***.

Yeah.. I'll look again but it's weird cause the harness from the car fit into the head but the harness for the sub has the wires cut and idk what to do now lol
Pics would be greatly appreciated.

I will get them tonight. IIRC, the harness has either two or three separate connectors, so it sort of plugs between the head unit and the harness to the car

Sorry for the delay, had a bunch of stuff going on over the weekend.

Like I said, this harness can be purchased from Subaru. Not sure how much, but it would probably save you a lot of headaches.
