Still, it's not the spelling that needs checked, it's the reading comprehension. YOUR MISSING THE POINT TO MY ORIGINAL POST!!
It's all about cohesiveness...about getting together and having a good time. It's not about a competition to see who knows more about the History of the almighty Subaru or even who has the best Subaru. It's about i-club doing more than group buys and sharing car info. It's about taking up those boring weekends with something cool to do.
You just don't get it, do you?
I'm addicted to the Dragon....and I hate seeing the Miatas laying claim to my kill.
Rather than let us go on and on about how we would like to get something going while all along you knew of something going on...why be a shmuck? Just post a reply like a fellow Subaru brother and invite us along! OR...just post a reply and then come along with us for a SOUTHEAST meet at the gap.
Why be a jerk?

I was letting everyone here know that this type of meet already goes on and I get the remark "3 years and still no shirts. Hahaha" implying that it wasn't an organized meet.
If you had been at any of the previous Dragon meets you would see that it is all about "cohesiveness...about getting together and having a good time". Don't lambaste me because others wanted to get smart and turn the thread into something else.
My first post was nothing but information to tell everyone here about the event and to hopefully get some additional participation in the meet. I'm not the one calling names and setting the tone, geez take a freaking chill pill guys.
See ya on the Dragon in October, hope your in a better mood.
BTW: Largest / Best Subaru Club site on the net is >HERE<

hey guy that is not what i was implying by saying 3 years and no shirts. organized or not i will go up to the gap any weekend to see some fellow subaru owners.
you are the one that said the we probably thought that the wrx was the first subaru to be sold in the us.
That is why we did lambast you because you turned the thread into something else.
Thanks all and the website that he put up is one of the best that i have gone to.

that STi and WRX you saw were almost definitely Midnight_Gold and crazyhorse... i was going to go w/ them but they didn't give me enough warning.
opie.. chill yo... he was just saying there weren't shirts being sold at the gap for us yet. The Miatas are a huge thing and of course the locals are trying to make a buck. They just don't know about us yet.

Fall Dragon 2003
Hey guys, this is Porter... I am the one who has organized the big Subaru event at the Dragon for the last several years.
We're going up again in a smaller group on the weekend of October 4th and 5th, come and join us. It should be a good time. The fall outing is essentially a low-profile version of the May event, with a tighter group of generally higher-performance drivers. We'll be blasting the Gap, the Wayah road, and probably the Cherohala Skyway. There's also the chance of hitting some serious gravel stages on Sunday if the weather permits and there's enough interest at dinner on Saturday night.
There is already a group discount set up with the MicroTel Inn in Robbinsville, just let them know you are with the Subaru group and that you are supposed to receive a discount on your room rate and they will hook you up.
I'll be there the afternoon of October 3rd, if you are driving up on Friday please remember to be cautious and careful on the surrounding roads until you get comfortable with the terrain... I know many people who have gotten caught out because they're simply not used to a road surface that changes direction so abruptly. It sucks to dive into a corner at 60mph and realize as you hit the blind apex that it tightens up into a 110 degree kink before swinging back around into an opposite hairpin. There are plenty of opportunities for fun, just use your heads and feel out the limits slowly... remember, slow hands equals fast wheels.
Thanks, I hope to see you guys up there in October. I'll be there with the SVX, ready to carve some corners and shred some tires.
