I was just wondering if anyone else had as bad of an experience at a dealership before... Well here goes... This all happened at the Sierra Subaru Dealership in Monrovia.
When I got my car about 3 years ago I first bought the autodimming/compass rearview mirror. During installation I got a call from the dealership saying that they accidently damaged the roof while installing the mirror and they said that they would fix it. So ok... when I finally got my car back I noticed that the roof was the wrong shade of silver so we went back and they offered to repaint the roof(I think they sent my car to some outside company to do all of this?). Problem solved? No... after fixing my roof I again noticed that the rubber sealing between the rear window and the roof was done badly so the dealership ONCE AGAIN offered to redo the sealing. To compensate for this the dealership offered my dad the carbon fiber trim panels for the interior and my dad said ok. After getting the cf trim (yes I know it's not real cf -.-) I noticed that the right passenger door lock was a little off, but I didn't go back to the dealership to get such a minor problem fixed because I didn't want them blowing up my door or something...
Ok, so after that I decided to start going to the Subaru dealership in Fullerton simply because I just started college at UC Irvine and it was closer to me at the time. The dealership there was GREAT.
Now, 3 years later, I'm home for the summer and I decide to get a 30K Mile maintenance done to my car at the Sierra dealership. After went great until I got my car back. I noticed that my hood was a little bit lower because the edges didn't match up perfectly with the sides of the car. I decided to ignore this because I don't think a 30K Mile maintenance requires the removal of the hood (does any1 even need to remove the hood for anything? except changing hoods or installing new hood struts). About a week and a half later I went to Thousand Oaks (long freeway drive) to visit my gf and I noticed that the alignment was off. About a month earlier I had gotten new tires and had an alignment done at the Fullerton dealership (I still have all the receipts) and now it's off again. I called the Sierra dealership and they simply said that my alignment could've been screwed up while driving during that one month... I know that I don't have any proof that THEY messed up the alignment but I'm pretty sure that I didn't hit anything hard with my car.... so I know it wasn't me who messed up the alignment. Well, I'm stuck with my 2002 WRX that has a messed up alignment and a bad experience at the Sierra Subaru dealership.
Anyone have any bad experiences too? =/

the fleet manager at sierra called me a lier.. when i was shopping around for my wrx..
he straight out and call me a lier for telling him that renick gave me a lower price which they did.. and i ended up buying my car there.
>_< thumbs down for sierra.

i'm pretty sure sierra scratched one of my rims around the wheel lock when they rotated my tires. and they forgot to put the wheel lock key back in my car so i had to go get it when i noticed a week later (they claimed they called but i didn't get any missed calls or a message).
the only problem i had is with exclusively subaru. i called 5 times to do a service(first oil change) and left a message everytime. They never called me back to confirm the time and day. So i decided to go to call suby specialties and they called me back within 5 minutes. Thumbs up for Steve at Suby Specialties

hah!
I had an intersting issue when I purchased my s2k... but I got paid!
I bought it Labor Day weekend in 03. After they got me all hyped up about the car and everything, took my car in trade, had everything ready to go. They tell me "Sorry, nobody is here to PDI the car, so we can't release it to you". They gave me some old *** Accord with a CEL and a super questionable paint job.. and sent me home (from Downey to Murrieta) to then come back the next day, to have the car ready at the promised 7:30am time. So off I went... came back the next day... So at 10AM Im finally leaving with my car that was not touched until 9:15am... I go home, to find out that two of the three keys have not been programmed! How annoying is that?!
So now I have to go back to DOWNEY AGAIN to get this done. So I make an appointment, drive my *** all the way up there in the weekend... spend over 1 hour there.. and when I leave and Im on my way home.. I realize, they didn't program both keys! Only 1!!!!
Now, Im SUPER PISSED... As I think of my frustration, I notice a nice looking flash light sitting on the passenger side seat.... "Nice flashlight" I say to myself...
Turns out, its a $200 rechargable flashlight! I got the charger and car kit for it now... Sits in my garage and is SUPER useful... much more than my unprogrammed valet key...

I've heard that the service department wasn't that great at sierra but I've always thought the sales department had nice people. I was in last year trying to talk down the price on one of their left over 04 wrx models on the lot. Long story short I got an earfull from the sales manager who came storming out of his office justifying this and that about the car and comparing it to bmws and whatnot. I drove down to irvine immediately and got a great deal. Big thumbs down to sierra subaru.

I took my suby in for some warranty work last year at Sierra. Got my car back wit a nice big door ding, courtesy of the asses of Sierra. Of course those asses denied everything and claimed it was there when i brought the car in. F*ck you Sierra!!!

For example, if there's a liquid marking on my headlights that I can't remove and it appeared right after being serviced at the dealership could I ask them to remove it for me even though the dealership didn't do the initial checkup for any damages?
