Whether blue ray have the capability of running a serial number coded onto the machine to prevent copyright seems questionable
doesn't that mean all machine would need to be link to know whether this game have been code onto another machine???

If it is backward compatible, meaning it can play legacy games going back as far as PS1, the console should be modable since those discs don't require blue ray. Backward compatibility is one of the reasons why they're selling so well.
