i was driving to work this morning on the 71 and on one of the over passes the had tent set up and guys in orange were taking pictures of traffic going and coming? i think i saw a cal trans van. any body know what they are doing?

 

even though this may sound silly they are counting cars and doing a survey on the traffic flow. specially since the 71 is still new and theres not much development around it they can easy purchase land and widen the freeway. unlike the 405.
