Okay what are these things? Anyone have an idea what this is?
And what do they do?
Here is a link to the image:

I would like to put a direct image on here, but geocities doesnt like images to be linked directly.
I've noticed that these things only appear only when the wheel and tires are together.
I have a set of wheels only, but they do not have these tabs on them. I dont know the name of these and I can't really search for for these if i dont know the name.

ahh!! interesting! Thanks Imprezer. That makes sense. At first I thought it suppose to keep the tire from moving off the wheel.
Im assuming these things only come in one color as they are really minor, "Aluminium" So we get an "un-color coordinated look"
Lets say the wheel is red, the car is red, and the weight is the standard aluminium. It is used to balance the wheel. I guess those can be painted but, seems like too much trouble. Ah well, I'll deal with it :P

Laugh at me if you will.... but I always thought they were little ID tags incase your wheels got stollen. So if a cop sees a car with wheels that look like the described stollen ones, he can pull them over and check the number on them.
Then if the tab is taken off of a set of wheels, you know not to buy them... because they are stollen!
It makes sense though huh?
